Mrs. Felecia Paul is no stranger to the world of performing arts. She began pursuing her talents at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School where she was head drum major for three years. Her major responsibility was to choreograph the half-time routines. She then transitioned to Alabama State University and was a member of the renown Marching Hornets for three years. During this time, she began to study the art of choreography through her minor- Theater Arts. It was the production of "Dream Girls" -a renowned Broadway production- in which she first implemented her skills in dance/choreography. After graduation, Mrs. Paul returned to her alma mater where she fulfilled many roles: she assisted the band with half-time performances, she created a praise dance team as well as a step team; most importantly, she was the drill team director for the "Roosevelt Prancers" for five years. Mrs. Paul is a former member of the Friendship West Baptist Church Praise Dance Ministry where she assisted in choreography, but now utilizes these skills as a choreographer of A.C.T.S. (A Call To Serve) Ministry. She now serves as Dance Director of David W. Carter "Starlettes" Dance Troupe. She find it a privilege to have implemented dance programs at several summer programs: Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Antioch Fellowship, and N.I.A. Kids Theater Arts Program. Her mission is to have a community performance arts center that pursues its various aspects as well as provide mentorship that encourages personal growth. Despite the fact that she has limited professional training, Felecia Paul truly gives reverence to her Heavenly Father who instilled in her the "spiritual gift of dance." When she dances, it is her desire that you actually see HIM using her to bless others.
